I’m Mino Von Quack (Rodrigo Rivera), a graphic designer, photographer, and stained glass artist from Texcoco, now based in Mexico City. I’ve been capturing light through a camera for over 40 years, and since 2019, I’ve been bending that same light into stained glass pieces.

I was lucky enough to apprentice in the workshop of master glass artist Carlos Santa Ana Chávez, but in truth, glass has been part of my world for as long as I can remember. To me, photography and stained glass are two art forms with the same heart: both are about writing and drawing with light. In my glasswork, I love experimenting with a variety of techniques, lead came stained glass, copper foil, fused glass, engraving, and grisaille painting, each offering its own way to play with texture, depth, and luminosity.

Some people call my work Neo-Baroque because I can’t resist filling it with tiny, intricate details. I’m deeply inspired by the organic elegance of Art Nouveau and the dedication to craftsmanship in Arts & Crafts, and you’ll see those influences shining through in my work.
